Hi Tina… this statue is part of the church on the Tibidado Mountain. Once we got to the top of the mountain (December 2011) through a funicular, finding the church and the various amazing vantage points such as this one was not too hard 🙂

I have a very uncomfortable relationship with the Catholic tradition of placing religious statuary in high and mightly places but this is a great great image 🙂
